1. Build Quality

OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition logo is made up of F1 AA-grade carbon fibre. This is the same fibre used in McLaren MCL33 2018 Formula 1 car. The build quality of the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition is same as used in the normal version of OnePlus 6T. The weight or thickness does not change, and you should know that the only change is the inclusion of McLaren’s logo.

2. Additional 2 GB RAM

An extra 2 GB of RAM is another difference in the new OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition. You will get 10 GB of RAM with 265 GB of storage. Unfortunately, there are no other variants since it is a special edition from OnePlus. This difference will really make the McLaren Edition stand out. However, it is not a worth to buy when the price is considered.

3. Fast Charging

Charging is faster in OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition like McLaren racing cars. OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition can charge instantly up to 50% in just 30 minutes.

4. Face Unlock & Security

OnePlus 6T had complaints of a slow in-display fingerprint sensor, however, the McLaren Edition seems to have a tuned Face Unlock and in-display fingerprint sensor. Face Unlock and in-display fingerprint sensor can unlock the phone in less than 0.4 seconds. That’s really faster than Face ID.

Conclusion

While McLaren has tied up with OnePlus, they seem to deliver a high-performance flagship device. The price of the OnsPlus 6T McLaren Edition is expected at Rs. 59,000 in India. For an additional 2 GB of RAM and a fast charging, OnePlus 6T 8GB / 256 GB is a way better for the price than McLaren Edition. If you are a big-time McLaren or racing cars fan, your good choice is to go with McLaren Edition. Can it be robust like a car? Definitely, a big NO. However, the device performs a faster than the normal edition.
